POSITION SUMMARY

Benedictine College is currently accepting applications for a Certified Athletic Trainer. Benedictine College currently serves approximately 865 student athletes across 19 varsity sports. Sports duties will include Football and Mens and Womens Lacrosse. Job duties include but not limited to care and prevention of athletic injuries injury rehabilitation medical documentation supervision of work study and HWES students general medical care physician assistance practice and game coverage and assistance with Athletic Health Care major (ATHC). The Athletic Trainer is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Benedictine College the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist in directing all aspects of the athletic training program
  • Responsible for care and prevention of injuries
  • Rehabilitation of injury and postsurgical cases
  • General medical care
  • Scheduling and communication with Team physicians
  • Practice and game coverage
  • Visible fully integrated member of the College community
  • Responsible for complying with the rules and regulations of the NAIA as it relates to the program
  • Represent Benedictine College and the program in a professional manner
  • Responsible for being a proponent of the NAIA Champions of Character Program

Education

  • Masters degree in a field related to Athletic Training
  • Minimum of two years as a Certified Athletic Trainer


Experience

  • Previous experience with Football and Lacrosse
  • Familiar with electronic medical records systems
  • Commitment to the overall development of the studentathlete and the mission of the College
  • Kansas Board of Healing Art Eligible
  • Candidate must be BOC certified and within good standing

Additional Compensation

  • NATA Dues included
  • State Licensure dues included
  • Athletic Training Personal Liability Fees included
  • $650.00 CEU annual stipend
  • Additional Teaching opportunities in the HWES depart for additional subcontract pay available but not required

Salary: $40000 Commensurate with experience
