Job Description

A leading firm in the home appliances and electronics industry seeks a performancedriven Modern Trade Executive to lead and manage key accounts in the modern trade segment. The ideal candidate will have indepth experience working with largeformat retailers and electronics chains and will play a crucial role in expanding retail presence driving revenue growth and managing strategic partnerships within the modern trade landscape.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Key Account Management:
    Handle relationships with largeformat retail stores such as Melcom Jumia Jiji Electromart Chinamall etc. and drive joint business plans.

  • Sales Strategy & Planning:
    Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve growth in revenue and market share.

  • Product Placement & Visibility:
    Ensure strong instore product presence through effective planogram display strategies and marketing tieups.

  • Compliance & Licensing:
    Ensure that all product placements and operations comply with regulatory standards and electronic goods licensing requirements.

  • Promotions & Activations:
    Plan and execute promotional campaigns seasonal offers and bundling strategies in coordination with retail partners.

  • Inventory & Supply Coordination:
    Work with internal supply teams to maintain stock availability and efficient replenishment cycles.

  • Analytics & Reporting:
    Analyze sales data across stores regions and product lines to provide actionable insights and adapt sales strategies.

  • Crossfunctional Collaboration:
    Coordinate with trade marketing logistics and field sales teams to execute modern trade initiatives effectively.




Requirements

  • 1 5 years of experience in modern trade sales or key account management in home appliances consumer electronics or related sectors.

  • Proven experience working with largeformat retailers or managing panregional modern trade accounts.

  • Strong negotiation analytical and leadership skills.

  • Familiarity with compliance and licensing for electronic products.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and sales reporting tools is an advantage.
