Job Description

Senior Manager Workplace Health & Safety & Facilities

In this role youll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and success of Cuscals People & Culture team. From overseeing all WHS related matters ensuring compliance to all relevant legislation along with implementing and enforcing policies and processes your work will make a tangible difference to the businesses and customers that the Australian financial sector serves. 

Youll also make an impact by: 

  • Developing and maintaining Cuscals Work Health and Safety Management System ensuring compliance to the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 Regulations and Code of Practice 
  • Creating and managing the delivery of all Work Health and Safety activities including training needs and other services 
  • Providing advice to all stakeholders on all WHS issues and initiatives  
  • Creating implementing and updating policies and procedures that ensure proactive hazard identification and safe behaviours 
  • Monitoring and investigating current or potential WHS accidents (both physical and psychosocial) incidents and near misses implementing preventative measures to stop future occurrences 
  • Working collaboratively with and actively coaching people leaders on their obligations and responsibilities relating to WHS 
  • Working closely with the ReturntoWork Coordinator on Workers Compensation matters when required.
  • Providing a professional and customer focused facilities management service to the organisation while overseeing and being actively involved in the day to day and future maintenance of the office floors and equipment. 

What youll bring

To succeed in this role youll have: 

  • At least 5 years experience in a Work Health and Safety Management role 
  • Demonstrated experience in embedding and maintaining an effective work health and safety management system 
  • Demonstrated experience in risk assessment incident investigation and injury prevention  
  • Previous experience designing and delivering WHS related training 
  • Proven experience working with relevant WHS legislation and requirements 
  • Previous experience overseeing Facilities Management in a corporate office environment
