Job Description
Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee PCH Hotels and Resorts Inc.. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotels employment policies and practices including hiring firing discipline staffing compensation benefits and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International Inc.
As a member of our hospitality team the primary responsibility of the Assistant Chief Engineer is to provide primary support to the Director of Engineering by managing all hotel maintenance operations including building maintenance grounds landscaping and maintenance guest room and public space maintenance equipment refrigeration HVAC plumbing water treatment electrical systems and life safety systems. This role assists in managing the budget coordinates with contractors and vendors and maintains an inventory of parts and equipment. A crucial part of this role is to supervise the daytoday operations of the Engineering department fostering a positive work environment by engaging leading and working alongside engineering associates in a friendly and professional manner.
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors Degree or relevant technical education preferred.
Certifications as required to comply with local and national codes.
