Job Description

Job Summary

This position will support the Director of Banquet Banquets in leading the overall operation of the Banquet Department. He/She will assist in managing strategic planning and directing of the banquet operations including service and set up of events.

Responsibilities

  • Lead administrative and operational support.

  • Work closely with the Conference Planning and Catering Managers to coordinate and plan all events. Maintain a high degree of service and foresight to ensure successful meetings weddings and events.

  • Interview and train staff for key positions within all areas of responsibility to maintain a high level of service and professionalism.

  • Oversee and review all staffing programs within area of responsibility to ensure maximum guest satisfaction and stay with budgeted guidelines.

  • Ensure attendance all meetings as required including precons department head etc.

  • Maintain open communication within the department and with other operation departments.

  • Supervision of all Banquet Captains and staff.

  • Responsible for all operations of the Banquet Department.

Qualifications

  • Previous leadershipexperience in Banquet and Conference Services.

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Detail oriented

Employees must fulfill their performance standards for this position and comply with policies rules and procedures of the Hotel including those set out in the Employee Handbook or otherwise communicated (verbally or in writing) to employees. The job description is intended to describe the general nature and work responsibilities of the position. Employees are required to comply with supervisory instructions and perform other job duties responsibilities and assignments requested by supervisors managers or other Hotel Officials.
