Job Description
Position: Machinist
Location: Chattanooga TN
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing Specifications: Understand specifications of the desired output by analyzing samples drawings or instructions.
- Preparation: Take precise measurements and mark materials for cutting or shaping.
- Machine Monitoring: Observe the machine during operations to adjust feed maintain appropriate temperature and identify any issues.
- Quality Control: Inspect the final output to ensure it aligns with specifications and discard any defects.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a machinist including working with manual semiautomated or automated tools and machines (such as lathes and grinders).
- Precision: Ability to use precision tools like calipers for accurate measurements.
- Technical Understanding: Capability to read blueprints schematics and manuals.
