Job Description
Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking aSoftware Test Engineer in Herndon VA to support Intelligence Community and DoD customers as part of a talented highperforming team. As part of this team you will work with emerging service and distributed computing technologies for satellite situational awareness (SSA) data processing and distribution.
The EMMETT program a next gen Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Indications and Warning (I&W) system establishes a repository of resident space objects (RSOs) finds RSOs of interest and provides data to ground operators. The EMMETT team uses: programmatics sensor modeling and system engineering expertise to deliver this worldclass SDA I&W system.
What youll do:
- Utilize experiencein maintaining and enhancing test scripts and creating and executing test procedures to support development integration regression and user acceptance testing.
- Design and write test plans and procedures analyze test results and develop and review code as necessary.
- Document bugs in Jira and provide test reports.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Associates degree with 4 years of relevant experience; OR Bachelors degree with 2 years of relevant experience. Additional Four 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors degree.
- This position requires the candidate possess a minimum of Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request contract requires TS/SCI with poly. The candidate must maintain the clearance.
- Two 2 years experience with software testing
- Two 2 years experience creating test plans/procedures
- Two 2 years experience in an Agile software development environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience supporting customerfacing test events or requirement selloff activities
- Experience working in a Linux based environment
- Experience working with an RDBMS (Postgres MySQL etc.
- Experience creating or maintaining automated software testing scripts/tools (Selenium Cypress etc.
- Experience working with Jira Jenkins Gitlab Ansible
- Experience with Agile
