The Role
We are looking for a Revenue Accountant to join our growing Finance team. In this role you will play a key part in supporting the revenue accounting function ensuring accurate revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior management and crossfunctional teams contributing to process improvements and financial decisionmaking. If you have strong analytical skills technical accounting expertise and excellent communication abilities this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and evolving team.
What Youll Do
- Manage the full revenue recognition process ensuring compliance with ASC 606.
- Assess and apply ASC 606 principles to complex customer contracts for accurate revenue recognition.
- Analyze revenue data using Excel to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform monthly revenue close activities including journal entries and account reconciliations ensuring accurate revenue accruals.
- Support the preparation of revenuerelated reports for management and board reporting packages.
- Monitor and analyze recognized revenue identifying discrepancies and ensuring appropriate accounting treatment.
- Identify opportunities to improve and streamline revenue accounting processes implementing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to drive revenuerelated initiatives and optimize processes.
What Youll Bring
- Postsecondary education in accounting and/or finance
- CPA designation
- 3 years progressive work experience in finance and/or accounting
- Strong technical accounting expertise with a focus on revenue recognition under ASC 606 or IFRS 15.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
