This is a pool posting for multiple vacancies in the 202425 school year. When a vacancy is open to external applicants this pool allows hiring administrators immediate access to potential candidates. Qualified applicants will be selected for interview by hiring administrators as needed throughout the spring and summer.
JOB SUMMARY
This position serves under the general direction of the building principal assisting in the development and evaluation of the instructional program. Responsibilities include providing leadership aligned and committed to the Districts 5year Strategic Plan for the continual improvement of educational programs for all students; a commitment to equity and building a diverse school community; evaluating assigned staff; enforcing necessary school rules and regulations; supervising and disciplining students; planning scheduling and staffing assignments; evaluating and directing student activities programs; and other duties as directed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Reports to the building principal.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in a school environment; frequent interruptions; visual and mental concentration on details and precision is required; may be required to deal with distraught or angry people.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Masters degree and valid Washington State principal and teacher certificates. A minimum of three years transferable experience as a successful elementary classroom teacher.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Demonstrated successful leadership in a comparable position. Knowledge of standards for satisfactory professional performance and development for certificated staff. Skill in program development and evaluation staff supervision and evaluation fiscal management and staff development. Skill in planning and organizing. Skill in oral and written communication. Ability to work collaboratively with staff and community in all aspects of school life. Skill in human relations problem solving and building a positive culture. Ability to effectively implement and sustain shared decisionmaking models. Ability to effectively use technology and support staff use of technology. Ability to apply innovative and responsible leadership skills in an elementary school environment. Ability to assist in planning and implementing support for struggling learners. Ability to model and lead staff in ensuring growth for every student through intentional efforts to eliminate outcome and opportunity gaps. Ability to assist with planning and implementing an integrated educational infrastructure to support special education and provide necessary interventions and support. Willingness to travel between schools.
