As Assistant Technician Moving Light Systems you will be responsible for:
Performing connections of moving light equipment as instructed to meet production requirements.
Preparing diagrams required for signal distribution.
Operating follow spots as instructed.
Operating different types of aerial platforms to install equipment at height.
Assisting camera operators in their work and movements.
Please note this is a casual oncall parttime opportunity and you will be called to work on different shifts.
Job requirements:
Qualifications:
College diploma (DCS) in theatre production (stage lighting and techniques) or other relevant field
Six 6 or more months experience performing similar duties
Skills:
Good knowledge of the television environment and variety show sets and/or the theatrical environment
Knowledge of DMX and ArtNet protocols
Basic knowledge of electricity and Ohms Law is an asset.
Valid certification to operate aerial platforms is an asset
Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.
