Job Description

Job Description Summary
The role of the Research Programmer Assistant is integral in a dynamic multidisciplinary setting supporting research initiatives encompassing a diverse array of critical subjects including healthcare and health policy. This position will work closely with Dr. Sherry Wang and her collaborators in creating managing and analyzing large and complex data sets. This position is parttime up of up to 19 hours a week and is set to conclude after 3 months unless renewed.

Responsibilities
Provide programming support using Python for research projects that use two large databases CURES and IQVIA databases that contain billions of claims records and dispensing records.. Write up brief reports about the methodology and result interpretation after data analysis. Write up machine learning algorithms under the supervision of PI Statistical Research Programmer(s) and external collaborators.

Required Qualifications
BA/BS in statistics biostatistics or related quantitative field required. Ability to program using Python SAS or R for data management and statistical analysis. Ability to program using Python SAS or R for data management Exceptional problemsolving abilities with a solid understanding of statistical methods Ability to produce careful and detailoriented work Ability to work in a team environment
