Sedgman has an opportunity for aSeniorElectrical Engineerwith detailed design experience to join our Engineering Team in Perth to support studies tenders and projects across the globe and across multiple commodities such as copper ironore gold and rare earth minerals.This role will be a contract for a set period of time.

The role will require but not limited to:
- Working as part of an experienced and established electrical team to leverage previous project designs whilst still being adaptable and able to provide innovative designs and thinking when required
- Work across a continuous succession of small and large domestic and international projects as they progress through the project lifecycle from early concept development detailed design construction and operations
- Preparing conceptual and detailed electrical designs of various types of ore crushing and conveying facilities and associated services
- Defining and recommending design methods specifications and performance of functional requirements for new projects
- Undertaking or supervising the preparation of feasibility studies surveys and reports design layouts bill of quantities and cost estimates. Generating equipment specifications and support the equipment evaluation and procurement activities during project .
- Managing electrical discipline budget and schedule during the of projects in all phases of maturity.
- Carryingout site inspections and liaising with suppliers clients consultants or commissioning engineers. Engineering support to installation construction and commissioning teams with the occasional deployment as a commissioning resource.
- Liaising with internal and external clients other discipline professionals and stakeholders within the industry to ensure the timely accurate and cost effective delivery of projects
What are we looking for
- Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)
- At least 7 years experience preferably in the project design commissioning and onsite environments
- Experience with electrical layouts and designs safety standards and low to medium voltage functions
- Sitebased practical experience with commissioning operations and problem solving issues will be highly regarded however not essential
- Electrical experience with multiple commodity types highly regarded
- Communication skills combined with the ability to provide advanced technical solutions and problem solve are essential to the role
- RPEng CPEng or Chartered Status will be highly regarded however not essential
