Job Role Summary
We are currently seeking experienced Terminal Operations Controllers to join ExxonMobil shift teams in Birmingham. If you have a Mechanical or Electrical Trade Skill and/or relevant industry experience we would like to hear from you! It is an essential requirement that the Terminal Controller lives within 45 minutes commute of their place of work so please consider this carefully before you apply.

To be eligible for this role you must have:
- A good general education to at least GCSE level. GCSEs should be of grades AC and must include English Language and Maths
- A Mechanical or Electrical trade skill with a relevant qualification
Or
- Extensive experience in handling flammable liquids
- Experience in a similar position or suitably trained in terminal operations
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and practices
- Proven understanding of and concern for safety and business controls
- Knowledge of oil products operating terminal and equipment and technology
- Knowledge of OIMS D&A Policy LPS Work Controls Procedures and Product Quality
- First Aid trained
- Working knowledge Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
Job Role Responsibilities
- Ensuring daily Terminal operations are conducted in a safe cost effective and environmentally sound manner according to established procedures and controls
- Supervision and control of daytoday terminal activities and product movements
- Monitoring and control of personnel working on the Terminal
Health & Safety
- Ensuring correct and effective application of Work Controls Procedures
- Supporting and promoting the effective implementation of the Companys Loss Prevention System (LPS).
- Completion of Tier 1 Best Practice Checklists as required for high risk tasks / operations
- Responding appropriately to alarms and warnings identifying and addressing hazards
- Ensuring that the Terminal remains secure at all times
- Being the primary point of contact in the initial stages of any terminal emergency situation whether real or simulated and taking effective actions as outlined in Emergency Response Procedures
- Act as Site First Aider when on shift
Facility Operations Management
- Receive and report operational statuses to ensure safe operation through shift handovers
- Ensure compliance with the Terminal Operating Procedures Manual
- React to calls from drivers on loading bays and resolve loading challenges
- Ensuring proper operation of all equipment (including computerised Terminal Administration System) and report any equipment failures
- Delivering timely completion of TRT Control tasks and signing off in computerised system.
- Standing in for the Deputy Terminal Manager as required
- Maintaining good working relationships with terminal and mobile maintenance staff
- Participating fully in all initiatives aimed at improving onsite operations
- Contribute to the effectiveness of team and safety meetings
- Supporting fellow Duty Terminal Operations Controllers
Product Management: Quality Measurement and Controls
- Ensuring Controls compliance in all areas of responsibility
- Managing stock control and reporting / resolving any known or suspected discrepancies
- Ensuring that sampling and testing activities are performed in accordance with Product Quality Guidance
