POSITION SUMMARY
Are you an enthusiastic dynamic and passionate individual ready to lead a team in the hospitality industry The Delta by Marriott Durham Hotel is looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our Housekeeping team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on responsibility and driving guest satisfaction through excellent service.
About Us:
The Impact Youll Make: As a Housekeeping Supervisor you will ensure staff works together as a cohesive team optimising service and meeting guest needs. Adhering to company safety and security policies you will maintain high standards of uniform and personal appearance. Your role will involve inspecting guest rooms and public areas ensuring cleanliness meets our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect guest rooms public areas etc. after being cleaned by Housekeeper to ensure quality standards.
- Run sold room reports verify room status determine discrepant rooms prioritize room cleaning and update status of departing guest rooms.
- Assist Housekeeping management in managing daily activities.
- Act as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping Engineering Front Office and Laundry.
- Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms with the Front Desk.
- Prepare distribute and communicate changes in room assignments.
- Communicate issues to next shift.
- Complete required paperwork.
- Assist management in hiring training scheduling evaluating counselling disciplining and motivating and coaching employees.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems safety hazards accidents or injuries; complete safety training and certifications.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
- Cover Person on Duty Shifts

- Previous experience as Housekeeping Supervisor preferred
