Role Project Planning Specialist / Project Planner
Salary Dependent on experience (please advise what youre looking for)
Type Permanent
Location Surrey
My client designs and manufactures electromechanical products and they are looking to take on a Project Planning Specialist for a new projects team on a permanent basis in the Surrey area.
The Project Planning Specialist will ideally have the following attributes:
- BEng/ BSc qualification or similar in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
- Approx. 5 or more years of experience in a similar Project Planning / Project Manager role
- Previous experience working in a product environment (mechanical software hardware service etc.
- Previous experience operating Planning and Estimating standards
- Experience of using advanced toolsets in the production of project planning schedules
- Prince2 PMI or APM qualification would be desirable but not essential
- Excellent proficiency working with MS Office
- Have excellent communication skills
The Project Planning Specialist role will involve:
- Ensuring that each project is developed with a wellstructured plan
- Producing and maintaining project schedules
- Working closely with Project Managers and also PMO Analysts
- Developing project planning deliverables in line with company standards Stage Plans Estimating Approach Cost Breakdown etc.
- Identifying resource requirements
- Providing accurate forecasts
- Ensuring that projects adhere to project planning standards
