Overview:To plan organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a secondary learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their individual potential for personal and professional success. Essential Duties;The following provides a general overview of the typical duties associated with this position. It is not allinclusive.1.Works cooperatively with and under the direction of the Cluster Chairperson/Director in the development of and implementation of individualized instruction.2.Implement individualization techniques3.Develop and implement individualized testing and student assessment4.Maintain a classroom/shop which is conducive to learning5.Manage an effective learning environment6.Maintain an accurate and uptodate instructional binder including all policies procedures and other related information7.Maintain and update Scope and Sequence as instructional materials are added or deleted in alignment with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks8.Maintain and update Competency Lists (as well as Task Lists for VocationalTechnical Programs) as technological changes occur in alignment with state standards9.Maintain daily and/or weekly grades on all students10.Maintain daily attendance for each class assigned11.Assist in monitoring students between classes12.Remain current with changes in industry technology and education13.Attend conferences seminars workshops related to field(s) of instruction14.Write new curriculum or modify existing curriculum as program changes in alignment with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks15.Maintain uptodate competency reporting system16.Ensure all grade sheets verification sheets etc. are completed as directed and turned in on time17.Maintain uptodate Curriculum Binder(s) containing all instructional materials. 18.Performs related duties as required.QUALIFICATIONS:Licensure as a Vocational Technical Engineering Technology or an academic Technology/ Engineering license by the MA Department of Elementary and SecondaryEducation required or possess the minimum requirements to be eligible for licensure.
