THE OFFICE OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION IS NOW REQUIRING ALL PARAEDUCATORS TO PROVIDE A COPY OF THEIR HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA AND/OR HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPTS OR GED TO MEET TITLE 1 PART A FEDERAL LAW REQUIREMENTS. PLEASE PROVIDE OUR OFFICE WITH A COPY PRIOR TO BEING THE SELECTED CANDIDATE.
Comments: This is an indistrict posting for current South Kitsap School District employees ONLY.
The number of positions depends on student enrollment. These para positions will also accompany the students on a field trip during the week on day TBD.
Summary:
This paraeducator position will support 2025 CTE Science Camp teachers and curriculum developed for the CTE Science Camp program which will take place from July 14 2025 through July 182025. Instruction will occur at Marcus Whitman Middle School for one week Monday through Friday. Paraeducator training and preparation are scheduled for July. The approximate schedule is 8:30 am 2:30 pm with students in the building from 9:00 am 2:00 pm July.
The selected candidate will work a minimum of 35 hours to meet the needs of this program and will be compensated at the hourly rate listed above. The tentative required commitment of hours is outlined as follows:

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: some lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling; some stooping kneeling crouching and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity.
