Job Description
Job Summary:
Ocean Place Resort & Spa is seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team as Line Cooks. As a part of our dynamic culinary team Line Cooks will be responsible for preparing and cooking various menu items to the highest standards of quality taste and presentation. This is a parttime hourly position in our hospitality/restaurant department located in Long Branch New Jersey. This is an individual contributor role with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.

Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Ensure all food items are cooked to the appropriate temperature and visually appealing
Assist in food preparation such as chopping vegetables portioning meats and making sauces
Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
Clean and maintain work area and equipment
Communicate effectively with team members and chefs to ensure a smooth and timely service
Follow recipes portion controls and presentation specifications
Assist in food inventory and ordering when needed
Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management team
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience working as a Line Cook in a restaurant or hotel setting
Knowledge of various cooking techniques and recipes
Ability to work in a fastpaced highvolume environment while maintaining quality standards
Good communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays
Must be able to stand walk and lift up to 50 pounds
High school diploma or equivalent
Culinary degree or certification is a plus
