The School of Social Work at Abilene Christian University invites applications and/or nominations for a tenuretrack Assistant Associate or Full Professor in the Master of Science in Social Work program with appointment in August 2025. This is a fulltime 9month tenuretrack faculty position. Initial salary is commensurate with qualifications experience and educational degree. ACUs School of Social Work offers both the Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) and the Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) degrees. Although the successful candidate will be primarily assigned to the graduate program they will be expected to teach at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The graduate program has a single specialization in Advanced Generalist Practice.

Applicants must hold a Masters degree in Social Work from a CSWEaccredited or internationallyrecognized social work program. An earned doctorate is expected with strong consideration of ABD candidates in Social Work or a closely related field. Experience in university teaching and evidence of scholarship or scholarly potential is preferred. Teaching experience in an online modality is highly desirable.
The successful candidate must have at least two 2 years postMSSW practice experience. The ability to teach across the social work curriculum is expected. However preference will be given to candidates who have strong clinical/micropractice experience particularly in integrated health and behavioral health. Possession of the LCSW or equivalent is highly desired.
