Job Description
Job Purpose
The Dietary Directorruns the daytoday operations of the department. Manages the food service quality menu planning staff scheduling inventory control budgeting and purchasing. The Dietary Directoris responsible for interacting and communicating with patients and clinical staff to understand patient health concerns and dietary requirements to ensure food preparation follows strict health guidelines. The Directoris expected to work in the kitchen in any capacity needed to main operational excellence.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or Associate Degree in Food Service Nutrition or Management
- 2 years of food service management
- Certified Dietary Manager credential (CDM) through the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals preferred
- Good mathematical skills
- MS Excel and Outlook knowledge required
- Highly organized and responsible
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
