Job Description
Hospice Executive Director - Director of Clinical Services
Santa Fe NM
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hospice Executive Director to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our hospice agency in Santa Fe NM. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations this individual will ensure efficient use of resources regulatory compliance and exceptional patient-centered care. This is a key leadership role with full authority to implement policies and manage staff in alignment with the agencys mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strong leadership and oversight of daily agency operations
- Ensure compliance with Medicare Medicaid HIPAA and other regulatory standards
- Delegate tasks effectively to supervisory and administrative personnel
- Oversee program planning supervision evaluation and quality improvement initiatives
- Develop implement and monitor administrative policies and procedures
- Establish staffing plans and hire personnel in collaboration with the VP of Operations
- Manage personnel functions including performance scheduling and policy adherence
- Maintain contracts with external providers and ensure compliance with terms
- Promote a culture of professionalism respect and exceptional service
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to a high standard of integrity
- Attend staff meetings trainings and other required programs
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- RN license and nursing degree strongly preferred
- Minimum Associates degree in healthcare business or a related field
- At least 5 years of relevant healthcare experience with 3 years in a hospice or home health leadership role
- Solid understanding of healthcare operations policies and reimbursement procedures
- Proven ability to manage and motivate diverse teams
- Excellent organizational interpersonal and communication skills
- Must have reliable transportation a valid drivers license and insuranceor access to public transit
