Job Description
Overview
Responsibilities
Ensures that sterile equipment is not brought in contact with unsterile items or surfaces so that asepsis is maintained.
Observes and reports on patient health changes in order to adapt the care plan as necessary.
Completes the basic scrub duties and table setups for procedures to provide a sterile and prepared environment for surgery.
Gathers supplies and checks equipment to ensure that the necessary materials are prepared for surgery.
Verifies health status data for patients with the circulating nurse in order to keep a detailed record of a patients condition.
Performs other duties as assigned.
