Job Description
Overview
The Superintendent is a leader whose primary responsibility is to supervise the daytoday field construction of a project. To ensure completion of the work on schedule within budget safely and in a quality manner. Successful candidate must have experience and knowledge in earthwork underground utility work subgrade/base and paving.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage all aspects of construction repair and maintenance projects from start to finish.
- Oversee daily operations on construction sites ensuring the proper deployment of manpower equipment and materials.
- Review and interpret bridge design plans and blueprints ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards on all projects.
- Coordinate with contractors engineers inspectors and project managers to ensure smooth operations and timely project completion.
- Monitor progress against schedules and budgets proactively addressing potential issues and delays.
- Lead and supervise field staff including workers foremen and subcontractors ensuring efficient project workflow.
- Maintain detailed project records including daily reports timecards and progress updates.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure all work meets or exceeds required standards.
- Ensure the proper maintenance of equipment and machinery used on site.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Resolve any onsite conflicts obstacles or issues that arise in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Manage and order materials supplies and equipment coordinating timely deliveries to meet project needs.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Work with local authorities and agencies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations permits and other legal requirements.
