Job Description
South Umpqua School District has an opening atCanyonville Schoolfora K8 Physical Education Teacher for the 2025/2026 school year.
Douglas County is located in Southern Oregon along the I5 corridor. Our School District consists of 5 schoolsserving students from the communities of Canyonville Myrtle Creek and TriCity.
Duties/Assignment:
The primary purpose of this position is the instruction and supervision of assigned students keeping within the law board policies and administrative regulations. A primary focus is the establishment of a positive learning environment that promotes a high level of achievement while considering the developmental level of the individual student. Instruction and supervision include student guidance classroom management and knowledge in subject areas taught and District standards. This is demonstrated by appropriate curriculum design instructional practices and student progress assessments.
Qualifications:
- Applicant must hold or qualify for an Oregon Teaching Certificate with subject area endorsement.
- Criminal history clearance.
This is a fulltime benefited position. Benefit package includes medical dental vision life and disability insurance; employerpaid PERS as well as a tuition reimbursement program.
