Job Description

Employment type: Full time Permanent
Hours per week: 38
Remuneration: Band 6 salary from $101297.04 per annum plus superannuation and a fortnightly RDO
Location: Werribee based

About the role
As a Senior Strategic Planner you will work in an outcomefocused team to drive key projects for Wyndham that will deliver on the Wyndham 2040 vision of a liveable and vibrant city.

Your key responsibilities will include working on planning strategy projects and Planning Scheme Amendments within the Urban Transformation team. You will work on projects such as Planning Scheme Amendments and developing further policy around land use strategy and urban design.You will also work with teams across Council engage with the community and collaborate to facilitate process improvements.

What your day will look like

  • Meetings with other internal departments about strategic applications
  • Drafting and reviewing new planning policy for Wyndham
  • Meetings with external stakeholders such as Victorian Government departments developers
  • Logging on to ATS to work on a Planning Scheme Amendment
  • A site visit or workshop


What you will bring

If you progress past the interview stage you may be required to complete preemployment screening which may include police checks a medical qualification verification and an Australian work rights check. If you are one of the preferred candidates following the interview stage you will be asked to complete a basic writing assessment.
