About the role
As a Senior Strategic Planner you will work in an outcomefocused team to drive key projects for Wyndham that will deliver on the Wyndham 2040 vision of a liveable and vibrant city.
Your key responsibilities will include working on planning strategy projects and Planning Scheme Amendments within the Urban Transformation team. You will work on projects such as Planning Scheme Amendments and developing further policy around land use strategy and urban design.You will also work with teams across Council engage with the community and collaborate to facilitate process improvements.
What your day will look like
- Meetings with other internal departments about strategic applications
- Drafting and reviewing new planning policy for Wyndham
- Meetings with external stakeholders such as Victorian Government departments developers
- Logging on to ATS to work on a Planning Scheme Amendment
- A site visit or workshop
What you will bring
- 3 years experience in Strategic Planning and/or Policy Development
- An interest in planning issues impacting growth area communities in Victoria
- A strong project management foundation and the ability to look in depth into issues
- The ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- A passion for collaboration and working within team environments
