A day in the life
The Government Markets Program Manager is responsible for leading and managing activities for assigned government programs. This position collaborates with various stakeholders and functional areas on strategic initiatives projects processes and procedures to drive work forward and achieve optimal results.
Your responsibilities will include
- Provides support to assigned government programs for program implementation operations and contract compliance.
- Ensures assigned programs are meeting or exceeding corporate performance benchmarks.
- Plans organizes monitors and oversees complex projects utilizing cross functional teams to deliver defined requirements and meet company strategic objectives.
- Supports assigned programs by demonstrating value and professionalism meets/exceeds customer needs and collaborates with stakeholders to achieve strategic account goals.
- Serves as the client advocate providing data analysis that helps derive actionable recommendations to improve operational efficiencies and improve health outcomes.
- Develops and maintains a detailed knowledge base of various government programs to provide insight and recommendations.
- Develops proactive and positive crossfunctional working relationships with other internal divisions/departments to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Leads processes and ensures compliance and integrity of all documentation systems and programs. Balances timeliness and customer expectations to meet everchanging needs and environments.
- Monitors competitor products pricing weaknesses and strengths to influence business strategy and promote our value proposition.
- Monitors state and federal legislative activities impacting operations.
- Establishes efficiencies and monitors service issues resolution and escalation processes.
What you need to succeed
- A Bachelors degree in Business Public Health Healthcare Policy Public Policy Economics or a related field.
- 5 years of experience working with government programs health plan operations project management in the healthcare field or related experience. It is preferred to have experience working with Medicaid Operations.
- Be a problem solver with the ability to research analyze and define methods practices and procedures to resolve issues.
- Has the vision to anticipate potential problems and is able to collaborate with others to troubleshoot.
- Clearly communicate and support employees in a variety of situations while also being flexible and adaptable.
- A strong ability to prioritize and organize work with varying timelines for projects and daily work.
Equivalent combination of education experience or training determined to be acceptable by Human Resources may be substituted unless regulated by contract or program standards
