We are currently seeking a dedicated PCI Shift Incharge(Pulverized Coal Injection) for a prominent client in the manufacturing sector. In this pivotal role you will be responsible for overseeing Pulverized Coal Injection (PCI) operations ensuring efficient and safe production within our clients manufacturing facility.
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled PCI Manager (PCI Shift Incharge) with extensive experience in blast furnace operations within the pipe manufacturing industry particularly focusing on Pulverized Coal Injection (PCI). As a pivotal leader within our organization you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing PCI operations in our advanced Blast Furnace1 (BF1. This role requires a deep understanding of metallurgical processes specific to pipe manufacturing exceptional leadership capabilities and a strong commitment to operational excellence and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- PCI Operations Leadership: Direct and manage all aspects of PCI operations in BF1 including setting and optimizing coal injection rates to ensure optimal furnace performance and productivity.
- Technical Expertise: Apply advanced knowledge of PCI systems tailored to pipe manufacturing including coal grinding mills injection lances and associated equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
- Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to industryspecific safety protocols environmental standards and regulatory requirements during PCI operations.
- Team Development and Management: Lead and mentor a team of skilled operators and technicians fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement to achieve operational goals.
- Process Optimization: Utilize analytical skills and datadriven insights to continuously improve PCI processes identify opportunities for efficiency gains and implement innovative solutions specific to pipe manufacturing requirements.
- Crossfunctional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with furnace operators maintenance teams and other departments to coordinate activities resolve operational issues promptly and drive overall plant performance.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of PCI operations equipment maintenance safety inspections and compliance documentation specific to pipe manufacturing standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Metallurgy Materials Science or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in blast furnace operations within the pipe manufacturing industry with significant exposure to PCI operations.
- Indepth expertise in PCI systems tailored to pipe manufacturing processes including process optimization and troubleshooting within a heavy industrial environment.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams toward achieving operational excellence.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data identify trends and implement effective solutions specific to pipe manufacturing challenges.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Commitment to safety quality and continuous improvement with a proactive approach to mitigating risks and enhancing operational performance in pipe manufacturing operations.
