Job Description
Responsibilities & Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and facilitate Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) or similar governance bodies to review approve and document configuration changes.
Implement and enforce configuration management processes for computerbased systems software network devices and documentation in compliance with DoD and Navy standards.
Maintain comprehensive oversight of system configurations including security baselines software patching and documentation control.
Support change management initiatives by ensuring all changes are properly evaluated coordinated and communicated to stakeholders.
Ensure proper version control and traceability of changes to all configuration items (CIs).
Collaborate with system engineers cybersecurity personnel and program managers to maintain accurate and updated system configurations throughout the system lifecycle.
Track configuration status and provide reports audits and updates as required for compliance and mission assurance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Active Secret security clearance
- High School diploma vocational school diploma or GED certificate
Minimum of 5 years of fulltime professional experience in configuration management with demonstrated expertise in:
Chairing a Configuration Control Board (CCB) or equivalent decisionmaking body.
Managing configurations for computerbased systems network devices software applications security documentation and system security patches.
Providing comprehensive change management and product configuration guidance in support of DoD or Navy programs.
