Job Description
Job Summary
The Forklift Operator is primarily responsible for accurately and safely loading trucks and transporting glass throughout the facility. You will work in a crossfunctional environment with our management team to meet daily shipping requirements and provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
Essential Functions
- Adhere to all company policies procedures safety practices and guidelines
- Inspect racks for quality and verify the product is loaded accurately to meet or exceed Cardinal and customer expectations
- Safely operate powered equipment while transporting glass throughout the facility and loading and unloading products
- Ensure the driving zone is clear from debris or hazards by maintaining a clean work environment
- Operate manipulator to pack glass into wooden crates if necessary
- Ensure all rejected glass is dumped into recycling bins
- Utilize handheld scanners when loading trailers to create bill of lading
- Communicate with IG department to stage racks required for production
- Utilize the wrap machine or occasionally shrinkwrap racks manually
- Willingness to seek out additional roles and responsibilities within your department
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively ensuring all radio calls are answered
- Strong organization and problemsolving skills attention to detail and ability to read write and communicate in English
- May be required to work overtime different shifts and perform additional tasks to meet company needs and deadlines
Workplace Environment
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and potentially sharp objects
- Noise level can be high and will vary based on location in the plant
- May be required to move racks and rejected glass indoor and outdoor
Prior Experience/Qualifications
- At least two years of sitdown forklift experience is required
- Solid Work History Manufacturing or warehousing experience preferred

Physical Ability
Vision Hearing Occasionally stand/walk for extended time Occasionally lift/carry up to 40lbs Occasionally bend to floor/reach to 67 inches/climb 10 inches Occasionally push/pull up to 60 lbs Occasionally grip up to 60lbs Occasionally pinch 10 lbs

Shift: 1st Shift MondayFriday 6:30 AM 3:00 PM
Pay: $19.50/hour Potential Monthly Profit Sharing
