Substitute OneonOne Assistant
QUALIFICATIONS
The position of OneonOne Assistant shall require a high school diploma or a high school equivalency certification as well as the physical and mental capacity to perform the major responsibilities of the job assignment.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS
The OneonOne Assistant is assigned to a student (or students) to perform the duties as described in their IEPs.The OneonOne Assistant works under the direction of the classroom teachers and/or certified staff to promote the target students (or students) academic achievement behavioral growth socioemotional relationships and personal development. The OneonOne Assistant must adapt to the particular educational/therapeutic needs of the student(s).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The OneonOne Assistant must demonstrate physical strength agility and energy to perform essential job functions and to ensure health welfare and safety of all students and of self. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by the employee to perform the essential functions of the job: sitting standing reaching walking lifting bending crouching kneeling climbing pushing pulling finger dexterity carrying repetitive motions speaking listening and visual acuity. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
