Electrical Design Engineer / Design Engineer / Electrical Engineer to join a critical power company based in Portsmouth.
The Electrical Design Engineer / Design Engineer / Electrical Engineer will play a crucial role in developing and delivering electrical designs for power solutions at customer sites ensuring project requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
The successful Electrical Design Engineer / Design Engineer / Electrical Engineer will ideally experience in a similar role and an electrical qualification.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and produce complete electrical designs for power applications including control panels generator controllers and electrical distribution systems.
- Create and manage electrical schematics adhering to CDM and BS7671 regulations.
- Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks AutoCAD) to generate detailed design drawings and documentation.
- Provide design and engineering support for both low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) applications.
- Ensure compliance with national and international standards related to electrical power requirements.
- Prepare design risk assessments method statements and necessary documentation.
- Support factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) along with onsite commissioning.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and provide practical solutions in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role as an Electrical Design Engineer Project Engineer (with design experience) Design Engineer or Electrical Engineer.
- Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks AutoCAD and other CAD software.
- A qualification in Electrical Engineering (ONC HNC HND or Degree level) or equivalent experience.
- Ability to commute to the site near Portsmouth.
