Job Description
Summary:
Withthe help of the Cargo departmental team controls day to day operation andmanagement of safety and security functions in the Cargo Department.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensuremaintaining ongoing compliance with the requirements of the relevantauthorities Akasa Air standards.
- Formulateand suggest strategies / policies for cargo operations and sales. Develop andachieve the companys objectives in coordination with the Corporate ManagementTeam under the leadership and supervision of the Chief Commercial Officer.
- Thisposition holder also monitors network yield performance per station per flight for Domestic/International current market trend and suggests changes in thecurrent pricing policy RTD (Revenue Target Deals) floated in the marketgather the current market intelligence and work out the sales strategy.
- Responsiblefor drafting cargo sales policy and pricing.
- Reviewthe daily weekly and monthly reports of Cargo Managers for necessary actions.
- Responsiblefor reporting to his superiors occurrences events violations and acts thatmay affect safety security and company reputation.
- Toensure functioning of safety security and quality system within the area of responsibility.
- Torecommend new products to improve the market reach and improve the yieldspricing strategies and implement them across cargo Network marketing plans andstrategies to improve market reach and distribution of the product. Thisposition also handles corporate clientele and services them with cost effectivesolutions.
- Continuousfollow up of work and monitoring of Company staff discipline in addition toensuring adherence to safety and security regulations from all staff for cargooperations.
- Implementand monitor Service Level Agreements with cargo agents in measurable terms.
- Reviewingmanpower status of all stations in view of operational requirement and tocoordinate with HR Department for selection/ recruitment of manpower.
- Represent Cargodepartment in management review meetings and raise the important issues whichare affecting safety and security of the operations.
Requirements
- Knowledgeof Cargo Operations & Sales.
- EffectiveWritten and Verbal Communication.
- Abilityto work under pressure and deadlines.
- Wellversed with air cargo operations.
- Closeworking contacts with airport authorities.
- Processdriven able to generate reports.
- Formal graduation inany discipline will bepreferred.
Preferredrelevant work experience:
- Should have a minimum workingexperience of 08 years in Airline/ Logistics industry. Should have held amanagerial position for 3 years in airline looking after cargo business.
- Assigned to handle responsibilities of Cargo operation follow up workprogress performance and discipline at the stations and take necessaryactions to avoid occurrence of any flaws in addition to updating CCO of anyremarks or difficulties.
