SJ Technologies is seeking to fill a Systems Engineer Mid position for one of our federal customers. - Job Title: Systems Engineer Mid
- Location: Springfield VA
- Schedule: Fulltime
- Minimum Clearance Required: Top Secret (TS); must be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or upon customer request
Responsibilties:
- Develop and execute test plans to validate geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) products against requirements.
- Conduct independent testing and data verification for sensor imaging systems products and exploitation processes.
- Analyze test data and provide reports on findings.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure system requirements meet operational needs.
- Provide briefings and technical presentations to obtain decisions and solve complex technical issues.
- Work collaboratively with image scientists analysts and engineers to improve NSG products.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret clearance with willingness to upgrade to TS/SCI and pass a polygraph within 30 days or as requested.
- Bachelors degree in System Engineering Electrical Engineering Physics Software Engineering or a related science/engineering field.
- 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer including independent testing data verification requirements analysis and concept of operations development.
- Experience with sensor imaging systems products and exploitation processes.
- Strong written and oral communication skills including briefing stakeholders and writing detailed technical reports.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Adaptability to a dynamic work environment problemsolving mindset and eagerness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with remote sensing phenomenologies (e.g. EO/IR/SAR).
- Knowledge of NSG tasking collection processing exploitation and dissemination (TCPED) image chain.
- Experience conducting product quality assessments including visual and metadata assessments.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
