Railhead is Seeking a qualified Team Lead Test Engineer to join our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team in Fort Meade MD. As a leader you will oversee and coordinate the work of a team of Test Engineers supporting an extensive digital modernization program critical to DISA and Fourth Estate Agencies.
- Position: Test Engineer
- Location: Fort Meade MD
- Position Type: FullTime
- Travel: 50 Telework
- Clearance: Secret Clearance
Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of Test Engineers ensuring their tasks are aligned with project goals and deadlines.
- Provide technical guidance mentorship and support to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Ensure efficient test documentation of results and timely resolution of defects.
- Collaborate with engineers to identify and address issues prior to delivery of test plans to thirdparty testers.
- Promote the use of test automation tools and techniques to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Interact with customers users product developers and other stakeholders to gather requirements communicate progress and address concerns.
- Represent the test team in project meetings and decisionmaking processes.
- Ensure that the team adheres to quality standards and best practices throughout the testing process.
- Conduct code reviews and audits to identify potential defects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and 8 years of experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with effectively detecting tracking reporting and communicating test defects.
- Experience with the life cycle of software in military simulation systems.
- Familiar with agile development methodologies and testdriven development.
- Expertise in the Atlassian tool suite to include JIRA and Confluence
- Current IAT Level II or higher Certification such as Security or CISSP
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in software testing with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Certifications:
- Current IAT Level II or higher Certification (Security CISSP etc.
- Relevant testing certifications (e.g. ISTQB) preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Familiarity with requirements traceability systemofsystems integration and testing.
- Experience with cloudbased environments and infrastructure.
