Coordinator of Business Development East Pavilion at Southampton Memorial Hospital

Position Summary:

The primary purpose is to manage the customer flow admissions process and marketing program for the community. Responsibilities include guiding the marketing program which ensures strong customer referral and payer satisfaction appropriate market penetration positive public image and maximization of community profitability and census goals.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Minimum of one 1 year experience working in a SNF/LTC healthcare setting.
  • Must be organized and selfmotivated with excellent customer service and public relations skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prefer candidate to have RN or LPN experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivating/Maintaining professional relationships in the local health care markets
  • Generate referrals for services by building relationships with hospitals physicians independent and assisted living facilities and other community resources.
  • Coordinates tours admissions insurance verifications & precerts
  • Community outreach activities such as health fairs wellness checks and caregiver support groups
  • Regular marketing calls and visits will be made to referral sources to increase the number of referrals and admissions.
  • Facilitates admissions decisions and ensure a positive admission experience for customers and families.
  • Coordinates Discharge plans with physician patient and 3rd party caregivers.
  • Extraordinary customer service to both external and internal customers. External customers would include referral sources patients and their families. Internal customers would include supervisors clinical & nonclinical staff members pharmacies and suppliers.
