  • Fixedterm contract until beginning of 2027

  • Support the implementation of the LGSafe WHS System

  • Work with all levels of the member organisation to ensure the system is embedded within the members structure and is being used effectively

We are seeking a talented individual to join our WHS & Risk team at Local Government Risk Services (LGRS). This role will be based in Adelaide. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office or at members sites.

The role will be focused on supporting our Local Government Association Workers Compensation Scheme members to successfully implement a new template model WHS management system into their organisations. This work sits within the wider program of work that the WHS & Risk team do to support and advise the members towards best practice in Risk and Safety.

We will count on you to:

  • Working collaboratively and effectively with other members of the WHS & Risk team the LG Safe team and Scheme Members to assist the members to implement the LGSafe platform within their organisation effectively
  • Develop/support development of resources and tools to enable the effective implementation of safety systems within the member organisations
  • Develop maintain and update appropriate reporting mechanisms for the key stakeholders and update and deliver those reports periodically as required
  • Approach the work with a problemsolving mind set to support the members to effectively tailor the tools and resources to their needs

What you need to have:

  • A WHS background and qualification (e.g. cert iv or diploma in WHS)
  • An understanding of WHS Management systems
  • An understanding of RTWSA selfinsurance standards for WHS
  • Valid drivers licence and own vehicle
