Job Description

Location:

Hybrid roles require role responsibilities to be performed in the office for a portion of the week with an option to work remotely. Candidates must be based within a 50mile commuting distance of the specified office location or able to commute to the office.

What Youll Need

  • Bachelors degree in marketing communications or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • Proven experience in social media management
  • Experience working with and managing external agencies/partners
  • Experience in content production
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms algorithms and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics.
  • Creative thinking and ability to generate engaging content ideas.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • At least 3 years of work experience related to social media community management customer experience media communication public relations or general relationshipbuilding
  • Obsession with social media; keen awareness of social media trends and a knack for staying ahead of thecurve.
  • Proven experience in scaling brand accounts and building significant online communities.
  • Expert collaborator capable of fostering deep crossfunctional relationships.
  • An innate bias for action and owner mentality.
  • Exceptional writing skills with a portfolio showcasing a distinct brand voice.
  • Proficiency in creating visual assets and collaborating with design teams.

About the Role

With ambitions to make Opendoor a household name this role will be key in continuing to shape our image and growing awareness for our brand. The person in this role will be responsible for managing our organic social media presence and content production across all of our platforms (eg. Meta platforms TikTok Linkedin YouTube and X). Youll work daily with agency partners and internal stakeholders to develop and produce unique content that engages our diverse audiences and builds awareness and trust.

Youll lean into experimentation to continue to improve performance stay on top of the industry andchannel trends to identify growth opportunities. Youll have an eye for design and act as a steward of ourbrands visual identity. This role offers a chance to impact Opendoors growth while refining your skills instrategy management creative thinking and content production. What Youll Do

  • Strategize: Youll guide the vision for our organic social media program and lead agency partners and thebroader team to achieve goals leveraging data and intuition to engage educate and amplify our brandawareness.
  • Collaborate: Youll sit within the Creative Marketing team and interface regularly with comms ops designand product to be the conduit between what were building at Opendoor and our consumer audiences onsocial. Youll interface regularly with agency partners on campaigns and creative opportunities requiringsocial media amplification. Youll collaborate with Media partners to align on strategicrecommendations for paid amplification.
  • Test: Embracing risk you thrive on experimentation. Youll monitor social media metrics aligned with ourobjectives guiding content investment decisions and iterating swiftly to reach more audiences effectively.
  • Monitor: Monitor conversations across existing platforms and explore growth opportunities. Youllleverage insights from online conversations to support content and production optimizations. Youll bethe first line of defense in protecting the brand image on social and escalate negative commentaryas needed.
  • Write: Tap into shortform writing skills when needed (eg. post captions online community commentscustomer support). Youll support the development of influencer briefs for bespoke campaigns with afocused eye on ensuring brand consistency while remaining flexible to our potential partners uniquestyle.
  • Make: Act as a resourceful creator tapping into our internal Creative Studio team and external agencypartners to bring creative ideas to life from ideation to launch. You will be responsible for 100 pieces ofcontent monthly and thrive in production management.

Compensation:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets and we pay differently based on those defined markets. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $88000 $110000annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on your qualifications jobrelated knowledge skillsand experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
