The Opportunity

We are seeking a Risk and Compliance Analyst with either Information Security Identity and Access Management (IAM) or Disaster Recovery (DR) & Business Continuity (BC) experience. This role involves providing independent oversight and guidance within a risk and compliance framework ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and USAAs policies. The ideal candidate will effectively challenge and support the of business products services and processes. Candidates must have at least 2 years of validated experience in the financial services or insurance industry or specialized technical fields directly related to the role.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio TX Plano TX Phoenix AZ Colorado Springs CO Charlotte NC Chesapeake VA or Tampa FL.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What youll do:

  • Partners with key team members in the business to identify assess aggregate and detail operational and compliance risks and controls including operational and compliance risks associated with new or modified products services distribution channels laws regulations and thirdparty operations using maturing knowledge.
  • Applies maturing knowledge of the business its products and processes to identify work and raise operational risk and compliance issues.
  • Supports and supplies to the implementation of new risk and compliance policies practices and solutions to ensure complete understanding and management of operational and compliance risks according to industry standard process.
  • Gathers information analyzes data trends and produces analytical material for discussions with cross functional teams to understand business objectives and influence solution strategies.
  • Assists in the formulation of stress test plans for a line of business or the enterprise including the evaluation of results and framing of contingency plans in partnership with key business partners.
  • Supports processes that focus on improving strategies tools and methodologies to measure monitor and report on operational and compliance risks.
  • Contributes in crossfunctional teams to identify assess aggregate and mitigate current and emerging risk.
  • Supports and manages processes to measure monitor and report on operational and compliance risks.

What you have:

  • Bachelors degree or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • 2 years proven experience in the financial services or insurance industry or specialized technical fields directly related to the role.
  • Knowledge of risk and/or compliance management principles tools and applicable systems
  • Awareness and ability to apply risk and compliance laws regulations and regulatory expectations.
  • Ability to work with internal and external partners in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Proven critical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Experience identifying potential concerns and recommending effective solutions.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office products including Excel and PowerPoint.

You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $63590 $121530.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
