Job Description
Summary:
Primary responsibility is teaching physics at the high school level. The ideal candidate will have earned a masters degree in Physics or a masters degree in any field with 18 graduate hours in Physics.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with a Physics endorsement. License eligibility may be met through any of the following routes:
- Completed an approved teacher preparation program in physics;
- Hold a bachelors degree in physics from an accredited institute;
- Completed 32 semester hours in physics coursework; or
- Hold a bachelors degree from an accredited institute with at least 5 years of documented fulltime experience in physics/engineering and pass the content assessment prescribed by the VDOE
Salary:
Range for theschool year is$53000 $82243 with additional supplemental pay for a graduate degree.
Workday:
Full time / 10 month/ 200Day Contract Monday through Friday
