TITLE: Head Baker
REPORTS TO: BakeryManager/Learator
Position Summary:

Accountabilities/Duties:
Follows NbC proprietary recipesand cake production methodswith precisionandachievesproductivitygoals.
Effectively utilizes measuringinstrumentscommercialgrademixersandovensand othertoolsto bake cakes.
Accurately preparesraw ingredients andequipment for baking placescake pansinto hot oven and monitors the baking process.
Adheres to theproperpackaginglabeling and storage ofbaked cakesas well asproductrotation standards and maintains baking and refrigeration logs.
Assists Bakery Manager inthedevelopment of cake production plan monitors inventoryof baking suppliesandnotifies managementwhensupplyreplenishment is required.
Evaluates raw ingredients and baked cakes to ensureNbCstandardsare metandinformsmanagement of any quality control issues.
Cleans sanitizes and restocks workstation and ensures all bakingsupplies aresufficiently prepared for the next shift.
Complies withall healthandsafety guidelinesand NbC policies and proceduresincluding strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene.
Maintainsaconsistentworkattendance and punctualityrecord.

Understands basic units of measurement used in theU.S.
Has the ability to perform repetitious physical tasks that require thestrengthto lift items of moderate to heavy weight (as much as 50 pounds)andstand for extended periods of time.
Is able tooperate commercialgrade ovens and other bakery equipment andwork adjacent to a highheatsource.
Ismeticulousabout using exact measurementspaying strict attention to timingand working on a tight fastpacedproduction schedule.
Can evaluateproductsprocessesinformationandsurroundingsto determine compliance with standards.
Possesses the discipline and attention to detail to strictly adhere to health and safety practices and work environment standards.

Education Certifications and Work Experience Requirements:
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
While no formal education or work experience is required previous experienceas a Baker or inanotheroperational supportroleata bakeryrestaurantor foodservice environmentis aplus.
Work Availability:Must have the flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings evenings weekends and holidays based on changing business demands.
