The Faculty of Science Medicine and Health (SMAH) comprises of the Schools of Science; Medical Indigenous and Health Sciences; Nursing; and the Graduate School of Medicine. About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Officer to provide technical support for undergraduate practicals in the discipline of Anatomy & Physiology for UOW College. Your responsibilities will include the preparation of the laboratories and resources for teaching dissection and maintenance of human anatomical specimens maintenance and calibration of equipment.

What you will bring

You will have a solid understanding of human anatomy and physiology along with experience in applying WHS protocols in a variety of laboratory settings. Your demonstrated knowledge of manual handling techniques will be important as well as your ability to work effectively within a team. Excellent time management communication and organisational skills are essential as well as a proactive mindset and an attitude of continuous improvement. Previous experience in an anatomy lab or mortuary will be highly regarded.
