Neonatal Physician Assistant
Responsibilities
Pediatrix Medical Group of Florida is seeking a fulltime experienced Neonatal Physician Assistantto join our respected neonatology practice at Joe DiMaggio Childrens Hospital a U.S. Newsranked childrens hospital and the largest NICU in Broward County.
- Joe DiMaggio NICU has 62 LevelIV NICU beds and 22 LevelII beds; average daily census of 70 and over 5000 annual births
- Systemwide the two sister NICUs have 36 LevelIII beds and an additional 8000 annual births
- Robust highrisk perinatal navigation program
- Full complement of pediatric subspecialists
- Care of full range of complex neonatal diagnoses
- On site ECMO therapeutic hypothermia BPD programs full range of ventilation modes including HFOV HFJV NAVA
- Variety of shifts including 1012 hour day shifts and 1216 hour night shifts
- Rotations to Memorial West and Memorial Miramar with 24 hour shifts
About Joe DiMaggio Childrens Hospital (Memorial Healthcare)
- Joe DiMaggio is part of the Memorial Healthcare System the 4th largest public health system in the country and a quaternary trauma center
- A 4story vertical expansion was completed at Joe DiMaggio in 2023 as well as a womens and childrens outpatient pavilion in the nearby Miramar facility
- Memorial Healthcare received institutional ACGME accreditation in August 2015 and welcomed its first class of pediatric residents in 2018
- The NICU is one of only 11 Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Centers (RPICC) in Florida
- The hospital offers free accommodations for families at its Conine Clubhouse on the hospital campus while their babies receive expert care
- Joe DiMaggio Childrens Hospital offers a comprehensive range of healthcare services including heart transplant kidney transplant neurosurgery hematology/oncology and ECMO

Qualifications
Current certification through National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Minimum of a masters degree
Applicants must have completed a Neonatal PA training program or have current PA experience in a Neonatal ICU
