Job Description

Position Summary

The successful Executive Assistant (EA) will provide administrative support for the EVP of Development and CEO. The EA will interact with a diverse group of external callers donors and visitors as well as internal contacts within all levels of the organization. Independent judgment and initiative are required to plan prioritize and organize a diversified workload under pressure and deadlines. Critical thinking and sound decisionmaking skills are necessary to maintain daytoday operation of the Development Department. In order to be successful this employee must meet the objectives set out by the Development Department; carry out the required functions in an honest competent and confident manner; and ultimately assist in the accomplishment of the EVP of Developments goals and objectives. Flexibility focus forwardthinking organizational skills communication skills and the ability to constantly reprioritize are crucial to the success of this position.

This is a fulltime position located in Plano TX.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support organization meeting coordination expense reports donor data
  • Communications Support calendaring memos mail phone calls email
  • Special Projects Managementmiscellaneous project management as directly assigned
  • Lead attend and/or contribute to EastWest sponsored spiritual formation activities and perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • BA degree or equivalent experience within discipline required
  • 35 years minimum experience working in a similar role preferred
  • 23 years of ministry/nonprofit experience preferred
  • Uphold a close and growing relationship with Jesus Christ

Experience and Skills

  • Flexibility focus and a strong work ethic are essential
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills including proficiency in evaluating and prioritizing issues
  • Ability to follow through and juggle multiple tasks and projects
  • Conscientious and detailed
  • Ability to take initiative within the scope of job duties
  • Solid judgment and decisionmaking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including proficiency in grammar and spelling
  • Excellent interpersonal skills ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality poise and tact
  • Ability to be respectful and discerning of confidentiality and privacy
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or other donor management software
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure and against deadlines
  • Ability to utilize Google Workspace
  • Willingness to pursue a healthy worklife balance
