Job Description

SYPeer Leader/Intern Support Staff

Multiple sites

Qualifications:

  • Organized creative flexible and reliable;
  • Experience in leading activities with youth;
  • Must be at least 14 years of age. Note: Ages 1415 will only be placed with elementary school students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all program activities as needed;
  • Assist with classroom help and skillbuilding activities for students in the areas of math and ELA. (i.e. math games reading vocabulary and writing activities);
  • Assist students in enrichment activities such as games structured sports crafts etc;
  • Assist site coordinator with lunch coverage snack transition times dismissal and other duties assigned;
  • Participate in staff meetings at the request of the Summer Director Site Coordinator or Program Supervisor;
  • Participation in orientation and/or inservice professional development as required;
  • Work with Program Supervisor to plan hands on lessons that will be offered to students;
  • Other duties assigned.

  • Crocker/Reingold/McKay 3:40 pm5:55 pm
  • Memorial: 2:05 pm4:20 pm
  • Longsjo 2:40pm4:55pm

NTE 336 hours $17/hr Not To Exceed (NTE): $5712.00 This amount includes all program time and training time noted above timesheet submission for payment biweekly.
