What your future may hold
As a Senior Legal Counsel at ScioTeq you will focus on supporting the companys AD&S (Air Traffic Control Defense and Security) business unit on commercial corporate & insurance matters. You will work closely with the sales department program managers and business unit leads. Your main responsibilities will be:
- negotiating drafting and reviewing (inter)national commercial contracts with global clients and suppliers;
- doing the corporate housekeeping of ScioTeqs Belgian entities (preparing the annual shareholders meetings etc.;
- negotiating and reviewing insurance policies and handling insurance claims;
- participating in key strategic exercises business development restructuring mergers and acquisitions;
- maintaining and disseminating legal information and contract models developing legal policies and processes aimed at minimising the companys risks;
- organising and providing internal training on relevant legal topics to various stakeholders;
- providing guidance advice and support to the Board of Directors executive management and business operations and functional groups.
You will report to the Vice President Finance IT Legal & Trade Compliance.
Your skillset
- You hold a Masters degree in Law;
- At least 7 years of relevant experience preferably in an international law firm or as an inhouse counsel in an international company;
- A strong command of commercial contract law and (an interest in) corporate law in the broad sense (e.g. corporate housekeeping M&A insurance law);
- Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of Dutch or French is considered a strong asset;
- You can work both autonomously and as part of a team are stressresistant and can set priorities;
- You have strong communication skills;
