As a Product Manager Intern youll be embedded as a product owner on a small team of engineers interacting with key stakeholders and owning the prioritized product development backlog to ensure your team delivers highquality software with each and every iteration. Day to day youll share ideas and receive feedback on features through design sessions mockups UX reviews and usability testing to ensure user success before a new release.

Our internship is based at ourheadquartersin McLean VA.Appian was built on a culture of inperson collaboration which we believe is a key driver of our mission to be the best.Internshired for this position are expected to be in the office 5 days a week to foster that culture and ensure we continue to thrive through shared ideas and teamwork.Housing support is available for candidates whose permanent address is over 50 miles from headquarters.

• Skillful prioritization to determine what we should build by collaborating with stakeholders on product vision and strategy

• Effective listening and understanding of customer requirements to create stellar experiences that meet what customers want

• Strong communication negotiation and collaboration skills; ability to draw clarity out of complex and everchanging environments

• Strategic thinking and problem solving with a proven ability to prioritize negotiate and execute in order to accomplish amazing things

• Imagination genuine curiosity for candid feedback and enthusiastic collaboration for building great product features and experiences

Basic qualifications:

• A current undergraduate student pursuing a STEM major (Computer Science Human Computer Interaction etc)
