Construct erect and repair buildings and other structures made of wood steel and other materials.
Perform required tasks to complete building/room renovations of varying complexity.
Ability to patch tape & texture and paint.
Build concrete forms scaffolding bridges shelters and other structures.
Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
Assist other trades during construction project.
Conform to building codes and other regulations.
Perform layout including selecting measuring marking and cutting materials planning sequences and methods of work.
Helpers will assist journeyman with these duties.
Must be able to work after hours weekends public holidays and possibly shift work to ensure 24 hour coverage to the facility.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Job Requirements:
A combination of education and directly related experience equal to four 4 years*; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management coworkers clients vendors contractors and visitors
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to attend to detail and work in a timeconscious and timeeffective manner *These are the typical years of experience required for this job. Current Fluor employees may be considered for this position either sooner or later depending on individual performance potential and job availability. This applies to all jobs across all functions.
