Job Description
- Managing and overseeing the service department and service employees
- Monitoring technicians daily productivity reports and preparing corresponding payroll records
- Hiring and training new service personnel
- Forecasting goals and objectives for the department and striving to meet or exceed them
- Maintaining clean factory and extended warranty schedules
- Coordinating with other departmental managers within the company
- Ensuring manufacturer and dealership training is upheld inside the entire service department
- Managing customer relations while maintaining satisfactory CSI as per manufacturer guidelines
- Working with vendors to create service promotions and maintain service programs
- The most important part of the job is customer service!
- Experience in the position of service manager or a similar position in the automotive industry
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Current Drivers License with satisfactory DMV driving record
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and timemanagement skills to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently.
- ProblemSolving Skills: Ability to identify issues develop solutions and make informed decisions to improve service operations.
- Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with dealership management software inventory management systems and other relevant computer applications.
- Financial Acumen: Ability to manage budgets analyze financial reports and implement costcontrol measures.
