Job Description
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Syracuse University is recruiting a fulltime tenuretrack faculty member in SpeechLanguage Pathology at the rank of Assistant Professor. Preferred areas of expertise include voice disorders and dysphagia. Other areas of expertise will be considered depending on the qualifications of the candidate including motor speech disorders craniofacial disorders AAC and other areas of research focus. POSITION : Fulltime tenuretrack faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in a researchoriented academic program offering BS MS AuD AuD/PhD and PhD degrees. Successful candidates must demonstrate strong undergraduate and graduatelevel teaching skills a research agenda and research productivity commensurate with rank. This is a fulltime 8.5month faculty position with eligibility for tenure and promotion. Compensation is nationally competitive.
Responsibilities
PRINCIPAL DUTIES : Responsibilities will be to establish or continue a nationally recognized line of research seek external research support teach undergraduate and graduate courses in appropriate areas mentor student research projects participate in academic advising and serve on departmental and college committees.
Qualifications
PhD in speechlanguage pathology or related area; CCC SLP desirable. Preference will be given to a candidate with research interests in one or more of the following areas: dysphagia voice disorders AAC motor speech disorders and/or cleft palate.
