Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree or higher degree in a relevant field. Relevant contentspecific knowledge and pedagogy (i.e. have knowledge of an array of teaching and learning strategies associated with the subject matter content). Knowledge of and willingness to know current Teaching Performance Expectations and basics of the Teaching Performance Assessment. Relevant Professional experiences in elementary secondary and/or special education educational settings. Teaching Experience: a minimum of 3 years in elementary secondary and/or special education classrooms. California Multiple Subject credential Single Subject and/or Education Specialist Mild/Moderate Disabilities or Moderate/Severe Disabilities PPS or admin credential (as appropriate). Ability to work effectively with candidates and district staff (cooperating teachers; identified administrators) in their field settings. Ability to teach/mentor/supervise adult learners Demonstrated commitment to and teaching in diverse settings as well as working with students from culturally and linguistically diverse communities
Preferred Qualifications
Prior higher education teaching experience Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures. Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice equity and inclusion in a university setting. Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
